Hemorrhoids (British spelling Haemorrhoids) are inflammations of blood vessels at the anus. They may be internal or external. Many preparations are sold to hemorrhoid sufferers. Some of these are topical analgesics, while others are lubricant suppositories to ease the friction and subsequent bleeding caused by bowel movements[?].
