Helmet law defense league

The Helmet Law Defense League was founded in early 1993. They hold the position that laws enforcing US motorcyclists to wear helmets are unconstitutional for two reasons:
  • They question the State's right to impose safety regulation on individuals under the police powers.
  • They consider the term "helmet" to be to vague. A law has to be defined in a way that everyone knows exactly whether he complies to the law.
