Hellen

Note: Hellen was not the same person as Helen of Troy or Helenus, son of King Priam of Troy.

Son of Deucalion and Pyrrha (or sometimes, Zeus) in Greek mythology, Hellen was the ancestor of the Greeks. This is the source of the adjective "Hellenic".

He had three sons, each of whom founded a primary nation of Greece. Aeolus: Aeolians; Dorus: Dorians; and Xuthus: Achaeans and Ionians.
