Helical pump

A helical pump is one that is designed in a spiral or helix fashion. It consists of two parts: a twisted tube whose cavity is shaped like a curly noodle, and a helical rotor. The rotor turns inside the tube in such a way that one point along the helix is at the edge of the cavity, and the opposite point is at its center.
