Hechtel-Eksel is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. On January 1st, 2002 Hechtel-Eksel had a total population of 11,213 (5,701 males and 5,512 females). The total area is 76.71 km² which gives a population density of 146.17 inhabitants per km².
