Heavenly Ski Resort

Heavenly Ski Resort is a ski resort located by the California-Nevada border in south Lake Tahoe. It has 85 runs and 29 lifts that are spread between California and Nevada and a four base facility. The resort was recently bought by the Vail Ski Corp. The resort has 4,800 acres making it the largest ski resort in California. It is also Tahoe's highest mountain with a peak of 10,067 and the longest vertical drop on the west coast (3,500 feet). With 360 inches of snow annually and one of America's largest snowmaking systems, their season usually runs from the middle of November to late April. Vail Resorts is currently starting on their 40 million dollar improvements.
