Heartburn

Technically known as pyrosis, heartburn is a symptom described as a mid-sternal burning sensation often radiating to the neck. It is associated with gastro-esophageal reflux disease[?], or GERD. It is relieved by antacids such as Tums[?], Rolaids[?] or sodium bicarbonate.
