Head end

A head end (or headend) is a location, typically a building or large shed housing electronic equipment used to receive and re-transmit via a cable TV network, a number of information sources such as television and radio channels via satellite dishes, television antennae, telephone wires, the internet, optical fibers, and other such technologies.
