Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 80.9 km² (31.2 mi²). 79.5 km² (30.7 mi²) of it is land and 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.66% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 459 people, 147 households, and 123 families residing in the township. The population density is 5.8/km² (14.9/mi²). There are 153 housing units at an average density of 1.9/km² (5.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.91% White, 0.22% African American, 0.87% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.22% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
