Hartford, Connecticut

Hartford is the capital of the state of Connecticut. It is located on the Connecticut River, near the center of the state. As of the 2000 census, the population of the city was 121,578.

Hartford is also a center of the insurance industry.

Katharine Hepburn and Stephen Cole Kleene were born here.
