Harrison is a city located in Kootenai County, Idaho. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 267.

Geography Harrison is located at 47°26'59" North, 116°46'50" West (47.449779, -116.780674)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 12.50% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 267 people, 124 households, and 77 families residing in the city. The population density is 251.4/km² (646.4/mi²). There are 157 housing units at an average density of 147.8/km² (380.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 96.25% White, 0.00% African American, 0.75% Native American, 0.75% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.37% from other races, and 1.87% from two or more races. 1.12% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 124 households out of which 21.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.6% are married couples living together, 8.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.1% are non-families. 32.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 17.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.15 and the average family size is 2.71.

In the city the population is spread out with 21.7% under the age of 18, 3.7% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 31.5% from 45 to 64, and 19.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 46 years. For every 100 females there are 93.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 85.0 males.

The median income for a household in the city is $35,750, and the median income for a family is $38,500. Males have a median income of $31,667 versus $26,563 for females. The per capita income for the city is $20,532. 20.3% of the population and 15.1% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 53.4% are under the age of 18 and 17.0% are 65 or older.
