Harpster is a village located in Wyandot County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 203.

Geography Harpster is located at 40°44'16" North, 83°15'1" West (40.737661, -83.250151)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.1 km² (2.0 mi²). 5.1 km² (2.0 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 203 people, 85 households, and 61 families residing in the village. The population density is 40.2/km² (104.3/mi²). There are 90 housing units at an average density of 17.8/km² (46.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 99.01% White, 0.99% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 85 households out of which 28.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.4% are married couples living together, 8.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.1% are non-families. 22.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.39 and the average family size is 2.77.

In the village the population is spread out with 23.2% under the age of 18, 5.4% from 18 to 24, 22.2% from 25 to 44, 28.6% from 45 to 64, and 20.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 44 years. For every 100 females there are 91.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.0 males.

The median income for a household in the village is $35,556, and the median income for a family is $35,833. Males have a median income of $29,000 versus $19,375 for females.
