Handhelds in the Handspring Visor line were made to be compatible with the Palm OS from Palm, Inc. Handspring was one of the first companies to license the Palm OS, and the Visor line was its first product line. The primary advantage of Visor handhelds is their ability to accept Springboard[?] expansion modules. Examples of capabilities added by Springboard devices are MP3 music players, dictionaries, digital cameras, and additonal memory storage.
