Hamont-Achel is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. On January 1st, 2002 Hamont-Achel had a total population of 13,653 (6,974 males and 6,679 females). The total area is 43.65 km² which gives a population density of 312.78 inhabitants per km².
