Halva

Halva (also spelt Halvah) is a confection made from ground sesame seeds and honey, sometimes with the addition of pistachio nuts and/or dried fruit[?]. It was invented in the 18th century in what is now Pakistan, but has since been widely adopted in countries around the eastern Mediterranean.
