H. R. Giger

Hans Ruedi Giger (pronounced: GEE-ger) (born February 5, 1940) is a Swiss graphic artist best known for his design work on the film Alien. Giger's Alien design earned him an Oscar.
He is also well known for art work on a number of big-selling records including Emerson Lake and Palmer's Brain Salad Surgery[?]. His style uses fetishistic sexual imagery and is considered disturbing by some.

He is largely inspired by Salvador Dali and was a personal friend of Timothy Leary. Some of his most known creations include furniture designs, especially the Harkonnen Capo Chair[?] from the movie Dune by David Lynch. His art has greatly influenced tattooists and fetishists worldwide.
