Gyonshee

The validity of this article is disputed

Gyonshee are creatures loosely comparable to Eastern European vampires.

Blood drinking is a common staple, but these creatures, which are of Chinese origin, are more akin tempermentally to the more Western idea of zombies, mindlessly seeking satiety from the blood of the living. Gyonshee are immensely strong and are usually created and held bound by wizards[?]. A sleeping Gyonshee can be held by means of a piece of paper or other writing surface, (wood, stone, etc.) that is placed on its body while it sleeps/is at dormancy. The correct incantations would keep the creature unawake and dormant as long as the wizard(s) who created the spells lived, or until the parchment was destroyed/removed.
