Grand Admiral Thrawn

Grand Admiral Thrawn, a fictional character from the Star Wars universe, was an Imperial who commanded a major part of the Imperial fleet. He first appeared in the Timothy Zahn trilogy of novels called "Heir to the Empire". These novels were set during the time just after the events of "Return of the Jedi".

Grand Admiral Thrawn is described as a tall solidly built humanoid with blue skin, wearing a white uniform with a cape. This is seen as a departure from the standard charcoal grey uniforms that imperial officers wore as shown in the classic trilogy, although there is a white-uniformed officer on the Death Star in the first film.

He was assassinated at the end of the third novel in the series. One of his hired assassins discovered the oppression that Thrawn had put his race under and took vengeance against him.
