Gouda

Gouda (population 70,000) is a city in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland.

Gouda, which was granted city rights in 1272, is famous for its Gouda cheese, smoking pipes and its 15th century town hall.


Gouda is a former-state in India, which was combined with another state called Banga[?] upon Indian independence in 1947 in order to form the modern state of West Bengal.
