Gosford

Gosford is a city in New South Wales, Australia, lying between Sydney and Newcastle. It is separated from Sydney by the mouth of the Hawkesbury River[?] and by national parks. The main transport links between it and Sydney are the railway line and the Newcastle Freeway. Large numbers of people who live in Gosford and the surrounding suburbs commute to work each day in Sydney. Gosford forms part of the regions known as the Central Coast.

Gosford covers 1,029 square kilometres and has 158.200 inhabitants (1999 figures).
