Gorp

G.O.R.P aka trailmix

An acronym that stands for Good Old Raisins and Peanuts or Granola Oats Raisins and Peanuts. It is a term that outdoors type people use for a homemmade (usually) mix of food that usually includes those listed and many more.

Common extra ingredients include:

chocolate chunks/m & m's
other types of nuts
cereals
dried fruits

Due to the nut, dried fruit, and grain content, gorp is a very energy rich meal and makes a valuable food item on any camping/ treking trip.
