Golden Delicious

The Golden Delicious is a variety of apple with a yellow color. It is not related to the Red Delicious[?] apple.

The variety was first called Mullin's Yellow Seedling when it was discovered in 1914 in Clay County, West Virginia. It is a very popular variety being very sweet to the taste although it is prone to bruising and shrivelling and so needs careful handling and storage.
