Geri and Freki

Geri and Freki (also spelt Gere and Freke) are a pair of wolves, companions of the god Odin in Norse mythology.

Snorri Sturluson in the Gylfaginning indicates that it is to these wolves that Odin gives his food when in Valhalla, for he has no need of it himself, subsisting solely on wine.
