General Abelardo L. Rodriguez International Airport

General Abelardo L. Rodriguez International Airport in Tijuana, Mexico is that country's northernmost airport.

It is known worldwide because of the spectacular landings the airport offers. Since the landing runway is located right next to the fence that separates Tijuana from San Diego, California, jets landing at Tijuana (TIJ), must just pass over the fence before touching down.

Tijuana's airport is not a hub for any airline, but it is a center for jet flights within Northern Mexico, and there are several flights coming in from other parts of the country, such as Mexico City and Guadalajara, for example.

It's only international service so far is a flight from Los Angeles.
