Gemstone III

Gemstone III is a very large MUD produced by Simutronics. It takes place in the fantasy world of Elanthia where you can swing a sword or cast a spell. Gemstone III started out on the GEnie ISP before moving to AOL & Prodigy and finally settling on the web at play.net.

Gemstone III has been around for about 15 years and has a real in depth history associated with it. It has been played for so long that players have been able to create their own legends. With a thousand players on at a time during prime-time the game has proved to be very popular.
