Gae Bulg

In Celtic mythology, Gae Bulg ("notched spear") was the spear of Cuchulainn, given to him by Aife. Gae Bulg was notched to ensure it would do great damage when taken out of a body; it was made from the bone of a sea-monster that had died while fighting another sea monster.

Cuchulainn killed his son, Connla, and his friend, Ferdiad, with the spear. He died after losing the spear, throwing it at a satirist.
