Ft. McCoy, Florida is a community in Marion County.

Geography Ft. McCoy is located at 29°21'52" North, 81°57'59" West ¹.

History Ft. McCoy was a fort set up during the Seminole Wars[?]. It included brick structures, some evidence of which could still be seen in the 1940s. It may have also been a fort or waystation on the King's Highway.
