Fort Cobb is a town located in Caddo County, Oklahoma. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 667.

Geography Fort Cobb is located at 35°5'58" North, 98°26'19" West (35.099581, -98.438498)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 667 people, 270 households, and 189 families residing in the town. The population density is 505.0/km² (1,307.1/mi²). There are 317 housing units at an average density of 240.0/km² (621.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 77.96% White, 1.20% African American, 16.04% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.45% from other races, and 4.35% from two or more races. 5.25% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 270 households out of which 35.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.9% are married couples living together, 11.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 30.0% are non-families. 28.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.47 and the average family size is 3.05.

In the town the population is spread out with 28.9% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 26.7% from 25 to 44, 19.8% from 45 to 64, and 17.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 86.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 74.3 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $25,625, and the median income for a family is $34,000. Males have a median income of $26,786 versus $18,854 for females. The per capita income for the town is $15,085. 17.6% of the population and 12.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 20.6% are under the age of 18 and 17.8% are 65 or older.
