Federico II of Gonzaga

Federico II of Gonzaga (1500-1540), Marquis of Mantua, succeeded his father Francesco as ruler of Mantua in 1519. His marriage to Maria Palaeologo in 1531 brought the Duchy of Monferrato into the Gonzaga family's possession.
