Federal Council of Austria

The National Council of Austria or Nationalrat is the lower house of the Federal Assembly, the parliament of Austria.

The 64 members of the Federal Council are elected by the legislatures of the Federal States for 4- to 6-year terms. The Federal Council only reviews legislation passed by the National Council and can delay but not veto its enactment.
