FAP

FAP (FORTRAN Assembly Program) was a macro assembler for the IBM 704, 709, 7090, and 7094 computers.

Its pseudo-operation BSS, used to reserve menory, is the origin of the BSS[?] section still used today for space in memory that is reserved, but does not have to be saved in the executable image.
