Ezra Stiles

The Rev. Ezra Stiles (November 29, 1727 - May 12, 1795) was a Congregational clergyman, and President of Yale College from 1778 to 1795.

He married twice and had eight children. He owned at least one slave, named Newport, whom he freed on June 9, 1778.
