Exotic cat

The Exotic cat is a breed of cat that was created by crossbreeding persian cats and British Shorthair cats. They have the short legs and flattened muzzle of a persian, the sturdy body of a shorthair, and a thick dense middle-length coat. As such, they are prone to all the same health problems as a standard persian.

Up to 50% of a litter of 'exotic' kittens may have long hair and be classed as a persian, rather than having the desired coat.
