Eutectic

A eutectic is an alloy with a well-defined melting point. A non-eutectic alloy, when it freezes, crystallizes first one part and then another; a eutectic does not separate when it freezes. The graph of melting point versus concentration bends at the eutectic, usually with the eutectic being a minimum.
