Presidency of the European Commission

The Presidency of the European Commission has the following responsibilities:
  1. Organizing and chairing all meetings.
  2. Working out compromises capable of resolving difficulties.

The Council is presided over for a period of six months by each Member State of the European Union in turn, in accordance with a pre-established rota (unless a new decision is taken by the Council of the European Union)
