Empuries

Empúries is town in the Mediterranean coast of the Catalan comarca of Empordà[?]. It was founded by the ancient Greeks with the name of Emporion (that is market).

It was also the capital of the historical Catalan county of Empúries, whose territory was roughly the current comarques of Alt Empordà[?] and Baix Empordà[?].
