Emmitt Smith

Emmitt Smith (born May 15, 1969) is an American football player.

Born in Pensacola, Florida, he attended the University of Florida, and was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys National Football League team after his college career.

In high school, Smith amassed 8804 total rushing yards and scored 106 touchdown. He is the current NFL leader in career rushing yards, with over 17,000 yards.

In 2003, Smith was cut by the Cowboys, and signed with the Arizona Cardinals.
