Elliot Bay

Elliot Bay is the body of water that provides for the Port of Seattle. A small offshoot of Washington State's famous Puget Sound, Elliot Bay has become one of the most active port areas in the world. The Seattle skyline looms above the bay in one direction as the famous Cascadian peak, Mount Rainier looms in another. The bay hosts Coleman Dock, the Seattle port for the Washington State Ferry System. From Elliot bay, ferry-goers can reach Vashon Island, Bainbridge Island and Bremerton.
