Electrical conductor

An electrical conductor is a piece of material that conducts the electric current (usually a metal, but it might also be a semiconductor or an ionic conductor[?]). The opposite is an electrical insulator. The distinction is only gradual, as usually there is still some finite (but maybe very small) conductance in any insulator at finite temperatures.
