Eindhoven Airport

Eindhoven Airport is a small airport near Eindhoven. Link to their site (http://www.eindhovenairport.nl/)

The airport is being used for both civilian and military traffic. Between WWII and a few years ago, Eindhoven Airport had another name: Welschap.

During WWII it was bombed a lot. While building new houses in Meerhoven (a district of Eindhoven), a lot of these bombs were found and had to be dismantled.

On 17 july 1996, a C-130 Hercules plane crashed at the airport. 34 people died.
