Eid ul-Fitr

The Islamic festival of Eid ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, and is one of the two Eid festivals in the Islamic year (the other being Eid ul-Adha[?]).

The celebration of Eid ul-Fitr, the feast at the end of the month to break the Ramadan fast, is a traditional practice rather than a religious one. Muslims give one another Eid cards, and gather with their relations for celebratory meals. In addition, the Bollywood movie industry of India traditionally releases a blockbuster film during Eid.
