Effie is a city located in Itasca County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 91.

Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.3 km² (4.0 mi²). 10.3 km² (4.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.0 km² (0.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.00% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 91 people, 36 households, and 24 families residing in the city. The population density is 8.8/km² (22.8/mi²). There are 56 housing units at an average density of 5.4 persons/km² (14.0 persons/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 97.80% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 2.20% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 1.10% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 36 households out of which 27.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.1% are married couples living together, 2.8% have a woman whose husband does not live with her, and 33.3% are non-families. 30.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 13.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
