East Rochester is a borough located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 623.

Geography East Rochester is located at 40°41'53" North, 80°16'5" West (40.698166, -80.268032)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.0 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 14.89% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 623 people, 283 households, and 179 families residing in the borough. The population density is 601.4/km² (1,568.3/mi²). There are 293 housing units at an average density of 282.8/km² (737.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 95.83% White, 3.53% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.64% from two or more races. 0.16% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 283 households out of which 22.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.6% are married couples living together, 11.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.7% are non-families. 33.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 18.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.20 and the average family size is 2.81.

In the borough the population is spread out with 20.1% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 22.8% from 25 to 44, 25.2% from 45 to 64, and 25.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 46 years. For every 100 females there are 88.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 79.8 males.

The median income for a household in the borough is $25,625, and the median income for a family is $35,481. Males have a median income of $30,000 versus $25,313 for females. The per capita income for the borough is $14,465. 9.8% of the population and 8.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 2.5% are under the age of 18 and 12.7% are 65 or older.
