DevelopmentSpace

DevelopmentSpace allows anyone in the world to submit a proposal for a development project, and anyone in the world to fund it or provide expertise to the project. DevelopmentSpace provides for proposers to be authenticated by a global community of experts and then directly connects these "social entrepreneurs" with funders ("social investors") and experts ("service providers"). See www.developmentspace.com (http://www.developmentspace.com) to participate.

It has recently been created by two former staff of the World Bank in order to establish a more distributed alternative to international development.
