Den Helder

Den Helder (population 65,000) is a city in the northwestern Netherlands, located in the northmost point of the North Holland province.

The municipality also comprises the following towns, villages and townships: Huisduinen, Julianadorp.

Founded around 850 as a fishers town, it has been the centre of the Dutch navy since the 17th century.
