Delano is a town located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 377.

Geography Delano is located at 40°50'23" North, 76°4'16" West (40.839633, -76.071032)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.6 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 377 people, 163 households, and 118 families residing in the town. The population density is 234.8/km² (609.2/mi²). There are 172 housing units at an average density of 107.1/km² (277.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.94% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 1.06% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 163 households out of which 25.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.0% are married couples living together, 12.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.0% are non-families. 24.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.31 and the average family size is 2.74.

In the town the population is spread out with 17.2% under the age of 18, 9.5% from 18 to 24, 26.0% from 25 to 44, 26.8% from 45 to 64, and 20.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 44 years. For every 100 females there are 111.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 108.0 males.
