Deinze

Deinze is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Deinze proper and the towns of Astene[?], Bachte-Maria-Leerne[?], Gottem[?], Grammene[?], Meigem[?], Petegem-aan-de-Leie[?], Sint-Martens-Leerne[?], Vinkt[?], Wontergem[?] and Zeveren[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Deinze had a total population of 27,559 (13,544 males and 14,015 females). The total area is 76.02 km² which gives a population density of 362.52 inhabitants per km².
