Death: The High Cost of Living

Death: The High Cost of Living by Neil Gaiman, is one of the many spinoff's from his masterwork The Sandman.

The main character, a female goth is Death personified, guides a male protagonist on a journey of self discovery. Gaiman's take on a female, attractive Death is well used in this interpretation of the age old myth that 'One day in every century, Death walks the Earth to better understand those to whom she will be the final visitor'.

The mini-series was originally published in three issues, which have since been collected into a graphic novel. This collection featured a foreword written by singer Tori Amos, amd included the hard-to-find feature 'Death Talks about Life', a graphic depiction about AIDS, how to wear a condom and a general discussion of safe sex, orignally a public service comic, which also features John Constantine in a cameo role..

Note: Does Death appear in London, England, but use American coinage to pay for things...?
