Daphne Oram

Daphne Oram (December 31, 1925 - January 5, 2003), pioneering British composer and electronic musician.

In 1958, at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, she produced a novel music synthesizer using her "Oramics" technique, driven by drawings on a 35mm film strip. This was used for a number of years at the BBC.
