Danish nation

The Danish nation is an arbitrary artificial social construction which many people who have an historic or familial link to Denmark feel they are part of. However, people whose background is from the Faroe Islands or Greenland often do not feel that they are part of the Danish nation.

The Danish nation mainly covers the European part of Denmark. Also part of the Danish nation are some of the inhabitants of Southern Schleswig (in Germany) which either have a historical or a personal link with Denmark, Danish culture[?] or Danish language.
